What readers are saying about The Whipple Wash Chronicles – the nice and the not so nice…
With the release of The Shadow of Erebos the second book in The Whipple Wash Chronicles and my drive to be the next Best Selling Canadi…oh, whose kidding who, World Author, I have been receiving a number of wonderful reviews and some not so wonderful, about the series.
When you open yourself up to the world and put your work out there, for all to read, you will attract negativity. It is the law of, attraction-physics-rain on my parade-why does she think she deserves anything more than what she has-she is an unknown author why is she getting a book tour-I couldn’t get past the first chapter because there are mistakes-can we talk about your manuscript-phenomenon.
It happens to all of us. Just try and break away from what people “know” or think they know you as and start walking down a different path; you will be confronted with naysayers. They will literally jump out of the woodwork to get at you and contact you on Facebook, in the disguise of being a friend with good intentions, to to talk with you about your writing style. I think the universe plants them in your way, to see if you are really serious about what you are trying to achieve.
Luckily, I am not so well-known (Yet) that the naysayers have bombarded me, just a couple that have made me wonder about their true intentions. However the time will come, (It’s inevitable) where the naysayers will no longer be homegrown, but will contact me from the farthest reaches of the globe to have their say. When that times comes I am going to read and re-read this review from a reader and all will be right with my world. Enjoy, because I certainly did and will, for years to come!
I can’t thank you enough for the gift bags with the books for the children. They so enjoyed the first book The Whipple Wash Chronicles: The Valley Time Forgot and I am sure they will be thrilled with the second in the series. The children have been so excited to get their packages filled with everything they will need to read the second book. You are an inspiration, to many and have passed the love of reading on to all of the children in the art and reading group from last summer. A fluffy book is a well read book as can be seen by my first copy of the Whipple Wash Chronicles: The Valley Time Forgot. Many little hands have held and turned the pages, folded the corners and truly wore the book out. I was so excited to tell them you had left them the next book “The Whipple Wash Chronicles: The Shadow of Erebos. They were all eager to get their bag and get started, it is so wonderful to know that young children still want to read a paper book, signed by the author personally to them. With so many electronics, this will be a gift they will carry with them and share with their friends and family. You truly have come full circle in your creative venture and I urge all of my friends and family to get the books. It will be an adventure they and their children will never forget! The children were excited to still draw pictures of the characters for the hard copies, yet to come. A big “THANK YOU” again for your kindness! Let the adventure begin!
Sheila and the Whipple Wash Gang!
